Well Helloooo again… or for the first time!!!
more blogging fabulousness…
November, 2010, the Indigo toured San Diego.
Rachel Brice, Mardi Love, and Zoe Jakes.
Zoe Jakes, also a member of Beats Antique.
They all rocked their dance workshops, held one long day in my friend Heather’s studio.
Zoe came in, and taught us to this one song, over and over. It was Eskmo.
I’ve seen Zoe Jakes once since, when she came through with Beats Antique at the Belly up in February.
I’ll see Eskmo….very soon. With some fantastic friends!!!! In San Diego, at Spin. Maybe I’ll see BB too. That would be cool.
So in other things, I find myself sometimes wondering why I do things, artistically, and if it’s the right direction. Questions questions, so many QUESTIONS!!!!
Fortunately, at some point along the way, I wrote a mantra that helps me feel better. I’d like to share that with you now. : )
Mantra:
I have a path, the path is shining, It’s easy to follow.
The path is shining!
It is easy to follow.
I have a path-
It calls to me
Doors open
I walk through the doors.
I have a path
The path shines brightly
The path goes through doors
The doors open and I step through
To new worlds and experiences
Always I feel and see the path.
Sometimes companions are on the same path-
We walk with one another
We help create a larger path
So others may follow.
I walk the path
I see it, hear it, feel it and touch it-
with my breath I follow the path
It calls to me
I hear its song-
I play the song I hear.
(Yeah!!!!!)

He is easily without a doubt one of the best DJ’s I have ever had the pleasure of seeing in person. I have seen him twice this year, once at Myst in Phoenix and the other at EDC. I have been in the EDM scene for years and never have I seen somebody make sure that no set is the same by always making edits and switching up tracks even though he has phenominal studio tracks. I can’t wait until he comes back I will definately go VIP this time!
