Oh Beautiful Day!!!!

Today is my last day on Maui.  It ends a much-needed vacation where I found moments of stillness.

This morning I got up at a ridiculously early hour to go to the top of Haleakala, the shield volcano that forms most of Maui.  I just made it in time for sunrise.  I have proof.

I wandered around the visitor’s centers, and saw it means “House of the Sun.”  Other people were on the trails, and I had to resist dive-bombing approximately 55 selfies.

The sun was so amazing, because it rose above the cloud line, then immediately hid behind other clouds in the line of site.  Oh Sun, you are such a tease!!!

Of course, I got a selfie with the Sun, as long as I was roaming the top of a volcano crater.

It was really inspiring to be there.  It was an amazing new beginning to the second half of 2015.

While I was away, and for some time now, Duckman has been busy wrangling people, music, webspace, and everything in between to create Shaft Records Website!!!!  Find the link at www.shaftrecords.com

This is so exciting!!!!

It’s inspiring producers to “git r dun” and contribute to the Shaft Soundcloud mixes and tracks.  There’s going to be a cd release planned for mid-September.  So many amazing people are already involved… Click on the website link and check it out!!!!

This is inspiring to me because I REALLY want to contribute.  It’s time for me to get working on the music and be able to leave some music behind, and be able to play my own music when I’m spinning live.  I already love playing Shaft producer’s music;  I just throw it on in there and people get down!!!!

The website is such a leap forward, because it will evolve as we evolve.  More people will be added and contribute.  We’ll be an AMOEBA of AWESOMENESS!!!

PS Why isn’t Duxplosion in the artist’s list yet?  You’ve got a couple pseudonyms and a million pictures of Duxplosion, but they’re not listed.  There must be a secret plan of some kind afoot.

So I’ll leave everyone with one last Maui thought.

As I was wandering around on the top of a volcano crater, I stopped and leaned on a railing to enjoy the view.  And I saw… what could be….  a secret entrance to an underground lair at the top of the volcano!!!!  Here’s proof.
